The 49-year-old member of a powerful political family has a strong chance to win a seat in the nation’s lower house in Monday’s elections, in what would be a remarkable breakthrough for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Conservative church dogma is a dominant force in Philippine politics: divorce, abortion and same-sex marriage are illegal, while there are no openly gay politicians at the national level and an LGBT party has long struggled for influence.

Obile of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State on a 7 count charge bordering on Conspiracy, Forgery and Obtaining Money by False Pretence to the tune of Nine Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($9,200).

Billionaire business mogul, Femi Otedola has lost more than $400 million of his personal fortune over the last 9 weeks as the stock price of Forte Oil, the Nigerian-listed energy behemoth he controls, shed off 43.5% in value within that period.

In late February the share price of Forte Oil hit an all-time high of N342 per share after the Lagos-based utilities and petroleum marketing company released its impressive 2015 FY results and declared an attractive dividend of N3.45 per share. However, as at close of trading today (Tuesday), its share price has dropped to N193.46 after recording consistent daily losses over the past few weeks. Otedola, who is the company’s controlling shareholder, has seen his paper net worth drop from $1.6 billion when FORBES published its annual ranking of the World’s Billionaires in March, to $1.2 billion today, according to the FORBES’ real-time billionaire scorecard.

Tupac’s Mother, Afeni Shakur is Dead

 The mother of rap legend, Tupac Shakur has died aged 69. Afeni Shakur, a former member of the Black Panther died from a possible cardiac arrest at her home in California, according to reports.

Rolling Stone reported that the Marin County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Shakur’s death on Twitter.

Man crashes his £200,000 car minutes after it's delivered to his home

 

Out of excitement, a man accidentally crashed his £200,000 Mclaren supercar some minutes after taking delivery of it at his home. According to his neighbours, the delighted owner of the brand new car was seen happily celebrating with a bottle of champagne as the luxury ride was unloaded at his home. He then decided to take it out for a quick spin, only to be seen crashing into a tree on a nearby road in Hutton, Essex.


Front of the Mclaren car was left in bits after a head-on collision & the rear of mid-engined car was damaged by a sign-post. Thankfully, the car owner & a companion safely exited without injuries. Essex police are now investigating the accident to determine who was really driving and what could have caused the car crash.
