Police Investigating Alleged Rape Involving Students at D.C. Private School Attended by President Obama's Daughters

Police in Washington D.C. are investigating reports of a rape involving students at Sidwell Friends School, an exclusive private school attended by President Barack Obama's two daughters. 

An incident report obtained by PEOPLE confirms the investigation by Washington, D.C.'s Metro Police Department, and alleges an unnamed male student forced a female classmate to have intercourse with him on Wednesday.

The female student allegedly told detectives her attacker was her ex-boyfriend, according to the incident report. Dustin Sternbeck, a Metro Police spokesman, tells PEOPLE the alleged attack happened between 2:34 p.m. and 10:52 p.m. on Wednesday, but would not confirm that the alleged attack took place on school grounds. 

"Right now, it's still an active investigation," Sternbeck says. "No criminal charges have been brought against either party." 

Attempts to contact administrators at the school for comment were unsuccessful Friday, as the school is in the middle of its spring break.
