Kandi Adams, 45-year-old nurse has been arrested for drugging and killing her fiancé before faking his will and raiding his bank account. She was arrested in Nevada for the murder of fiancé Richard Harris in March last year.
Adams is suspected of using the heavy sedative propofol to stage the 'accidental' death of Mr Harris, the same drug that killed singer Michael Jackson in 2009.
Last year Adams was working as a nurse at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, when she made a chilling call to 911 describing the slow death of her partner.
She said: 'I think he's having a respiratory arrest. His colour is horrible, I need help out here now.' Minutes later, she told the emergency call handler that Mr Harris had died, saying, 'Guys, he's gone'.
A medical examination of Mr Harris's body suggested that he had actually been dead for some time and that Adams had therefore faked the call.
The revelation prompted a police investigation.
Sierra County Sheriff Glenn Hamilton investigated the death for over a year and said he uncovered a number of red flags suggesting Mr Harris was murdered, reported KRQE.
