Unveils exclusive showroom, ‘Ford Protect’
The 2016 edition of Ford Explorer and Figo has been unveiled in Nigeria with a Ford Protect after market package covering a free repair service for a period of four-year or 120,000km.
Showcasing the vehicles and other maintenance packages in Lagos on Tuesday, Authorised dealer of the brand in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors said it intends to lead markets segments with the products and make vehicle ownership and repairs affordable and encouraging.
Speaking at the event, the organisation’s General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Services, Abiona Babarinde, said Ford users, who purchase vehicles from the company would be offered free oil change, brake pad, belts and hoses, wiper blade, shock absorber for the period covered.

Also unveiling a new showroom and Ford Ranger, Babarinde said the new maintenance package now replaces the Extended Service Plan that was in place.
“The Ford Protect promo was expanded due to persistent requests being received from customers for the inclusion of more Ford variants in the list of qualified vehicles for the free package,” he said.
Babarinde stated that the package would not attract extra cost from the vehicle buyers, stressing that it is an added advantage exclusively for Coscharis customers.
He said: “The ESP was restricted to certain vehicles but the Ford Protect covers all models of the brand. For us at the Coscharis Motors, it is starting with the 2016 models of the Explorer and Figo as well as Ranger”.
According to him, the new Explorer and Figo offer advance technology for a pleasurable drive capability that will help the brand lead market segment.
The Sales Manager, Ford, Fabian Anuforo, said the Explorer had been one of the highest selling Ford models in Nigeria, stating that the model features, comfort and general performance.
“In 2001 when we started the Ford brand in Nigeria, it was a tug of war to sell a unit. The worry then was its maintenance. Today, the story has changed; people in search of Ford vehicles now look for us,” he said
With 3.5 litre engine, a spacious three-row, six-speed automatic transmission, five trim levels and all-wheel drive, Explorer is expected to sell from N11.8 million to N14.5 million depending on variant, while Figo sells from N3.8 million.
