Boko Haram: Chibok girls in ‘proof of life’ video

An indication that the Chibok girls kidnapped from their school on April 14, 2014 were  still alive has been given in a video which showed 15 of the more than 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram.
The video sent to government negotiators by the captors showed the girls wearing black hijabs in an unspecified location, stating their names, that they were taken from Chibok and the date of the

President Muhammadu Buhari ,While speaking at a meeting with members of the Nigerian community resident in China, as part of his tour to the country, reaffirmed his commitment to winning the war against corruption, saying that the menace was an arch-enemy of the nation which has destroyed the lives of many Nigerians.
The President warned that henceforth, the activities of vandals and saboteurs blowing up oil and gas installations will get the same reaction from his government as that currently being taken against Boko Haram insurgents by the Nigerian Armed Forces.

‘Most herbal products sold in Lagos are contaminated with germs, heavy metals’


Two independent studies have shown that most polyherbal preparations sold in Lagos State are of poor microbiological standards which may be due to poor sanitary and inappropriate hygienic measures; and that the heavy metals content of most poly-herbals sold in Lagos State are below World Health Organisation (WHO)/Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) permissible limits and are safe for consumption.
