Buhari, Jonathan in closed-door meeting

PIC.16.PRESIDENT-ELECT-VISITS-PRESIDENT-JONATHAN-IN-ABUJANigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari reportedly met with his predecessor, former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday evening in his official residence at Aso Rock, Abuja.
The closed meeting door reportedly took place at 9 pm on Thursday, barely 24 hours after Jonathan made an unexpected return from Côte d’Ivoire where he was said to be holidaying.
A top Presidency source, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed in Abuja last night that the meeting, which was described as “private,” held at about 9pm.

Heavyweight boxing legend Muhammad Ali, an icon of the 20th Century whose fame transcended the sport during a remarkable career that spanned three decades, died Friday, his family said.
The beloved 74-year-old sports hero, who had been battling Parkinson’s disease for decades, passed away in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, where he had been admitted earlier this week suffering from respiratory problems.


“After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74,” spokesman Bob Gunnell said.
