Gay Parents jailed 20 years for Starving &Torturing their 6-yr-old Son

Gay Parents, Christopher Sefton and Lori Lloyd have been sentenced to 20 years in prison on Thursday in Washington state after starving their six-year-old son by feeding him hot dog smoothies and making him perform push-ups, while wearing a backpack filled with canned food.

They fed Sefton's child a blended drink that included a piece of bread, carrots, water, vegetable oil and hot dog. They also denied the boy sleep and withheld other food from him while forcing him to do exercises.

The boy, who was tall for his age, was rescued in 2014, when he weighed just 50 pounds. His weight had dropped to the 50th percentile for his age after at one point being in the 90th percentile, according to theNew York Daily News.

Photos taken at Seattle Children's hospital after he was rescued show that the boy’s joints and stomach appeared to be swollen and his body had begun to shut down.

"They were using food to torture him," prosecutor Cecelia Gregson told the Seattlepi.com. "It has the added benefit of trying to kill him, but it was a very effective form of torture."

The boy was so starved that he was feeding himself out of school trash cans. The teacher created a ‘share basket’ so the boy could eat during the day.

The case was so severe that the judge went above the ‘standard range’ when imposing sentenced for the couple.

Sefton and Lloyd were convicted of assault and criminal mistreatment and were also accused of mistreating their other two children - Lloyd’s seven-year-old daughter and the couple’s young son.

The children have been placed in other homes since Sefton and Lloyd were arrested.
